I am a quiltmaker and textile artist working from my home in a Norfolk cottage in Reepham with my family, cats and chickens for company. I really enjoy working with people, using beautiful materials including my own hand dyed fabrics, to produce quilting wonderfulness.
I have ready-made items for sale or I’d be delighted to work with you on a bespoke item. Just get in touch and we can work together to design your heirloom for the future.
Originally from County Durham, the Land of the Prince Bishops, in the North East of England I spent three years studying in Edinburgh and then a brief sortie around the country following my husband (I do love a man in uniform!) before settling in Norfolk.
I have always been involved in creative activities such as calligraphy, knitting and sewing clothes for the children (one of my sons reckons he only wears black now because of the colourful dungarees I made him wear as a child), watercolour painting, stained glass and weaving. The design, colour, construction and textural elements of those activities have crystallised into a passion for patchwork and quilting.
After many years pursuing a very rewarding health and academic career, an opportunity arose which allowed me to change direction … hence the birth of A Quilt In Time.

Guided by Maggie we were able to chose the design of the quilt, the colours but most importantly Maggie was able to incorporate my almost 30 year old wedding dress into the design making the finished quilt totally unique to us, exceeding all our exceptions in terms of quality and craftsmanship. It is certainly a family heirloom that will be treasured for ever.
Lovely collection of beautiful quilts!
